About Andy Pierucci

My name is Andy Pierucci. My family and I have lived in Riverton for almost eight years. I love our community and am honored to serve my friends and family as a member of the Riverton City Council. After a rigorous interview process, I was chosen and appointed to the council to represent District 1 in January 2023 to fill a vacancy after Councilman Sheldon Stewart was elected to represent our community on the Salt Lake County Council.

I’m a husband, a father, and a business leader. I’m a fiscal conservative and firmly believe in the principle of limited government. I have been involved in the community since first moving to Riverton. I served on the Riverton City Historic Preservation Commission for three years, including a year as chair. I also served on the Riverton City Economic Development Committee.

In my day job, I work for a Fortune 100 company in the aerospace and defense industry. I’ve also spent time teaching in higher education, serving in leadership positions in state government, and working as a senior leader in a nonprofit.

Service is important to me. In addition to my service in my church and community I serve as a member of the Utah Advisory Committee for the U.S. Global Leadership Coalition. I have spent time volunteering as a Boy Scout leader for youth in my neighborhood and have helped found nonprofit organizations in the state, including the Emerging Leaders Initiative and the Utah Aerospace and Defense Association.

I got my undergraduate degree in political science from Utah State University, obtained a Master of Public Administration degree from the University of Utah, and have a certificate in Business, International Relations and the Political Economy from the London School of Economics.
