About Andy Pierucci
My name is Andy Pierucci. My family and I have lived in Riverton for over a decade. I love our community and am honored to serve my friends and family as a member of the Riverton City Council representing District 1 since January 2023. In 2026, I was unanimously chosen to serve as Mayor Pro-Tem. Additionally, as part of my council duties, I also represent Riverton on several boards and committees including the Jordan Valley Water Conservancy District’s board of trustees, the board of directors for the South Valley Chamber of Commerce, and the state’s transportation focused Joint Policy Advisory Committee.

I’m a husband, a father, and a business leader. I’m a fiscal conservative and firmly believe in the principle of limited government. I have been involved in the community since first moving to Riverton. I served on the Riverton City Historic Preservation Commission for three years, including a year as chair. I also served on the Riverton City Economic Development Committee.

In my day job, I have a leadership position for a Utah company in the transportation, agriculture and energy industries. I’ve previously held a leadership role in a Fortune 100 company in the aerospace and defense industry. I’ve also spent time teaching in higher education, serving in leadership positions in state government, and working as a senior leader in a nonprofit.

Service is important to me. In addition to my service in my church and community I serve on the Utah State University Alumni Advisory Board, the Utah Valley University College of Science Advisory Board, and on the board of many other local and national professional and industry organizations. I have spent time volunteering as a Boy Scout leader for youth in my neighborhood and have helped found nonprofit organizations in the state, including the Emerging Leaders Initiative and the 47G.
I got my undergraduate degree in political science from Utah State University, obtained a Master of Public Administration degree from the University of Utah, and have a certificate in Business, International Relations and the Political Economy from the London School of Economics.
